MeetCue Mobile App
Provided the founders with a clear visual direction that reduced ambiguity ahead of development.
Year :
2023
Industry :
Dating
Client :
MeetCue
Project Duration :
12 weeks

Problem:
The founder needed early mobile app design direction to establish a clear visual identity for a new dating product ahead of development. The goal was to define a cohesive look and feel that could guide future design and engineering decisions, while avoiding premature commitment to detailed product flows.
At this stage, the founders intentionally chose not to fully define end-to-end user journeys, focusing instead on brand alignment and early visual exploration.
Challenge:
The product vision was still evolving, and the founders did not want to lock in complete user flows or interaction patterns.
There was limited clarity around feature prioritization and functional scope.
The designs needed to remain high-level and adaptable for future iteration.
The work needed to be useful to both future designers and engineers, despite the limited scope.

Solution:
I delivered a foundational mobile UI direction that prioritized branding and visual consistency over feature completeness.
Key outputs included:
A defined color palette and typography system tailored for mobile accessibility and scalability.
Core UI components (buttons, cards, input fields) that could serve as a starting point for a future design system.
A limited set of high-level app screens (e.g., onboarding, matching questionnaire, date matching) designed to communicate product intent without implying finalized functionality.
Summary :
This project highlights my ability to deliver meaningful design value even when scope is intentionally constrained. By focusing on brand systems and visual foundations rather than premature UX detail, I helped the founders move forward with clarity while preserving flexibility for future product decisions.
